Great Tent
by Alan on 11/4/2016
I’ve had this tent for several years, and it has been a rock. Its not supper light weight, but the little extra weight is more than made up for in function. I had my camp flooded but stayed dry, been within a mile of a tornado and it stayed standing. Took it out one winter where the low was 9F. My girlfriend has started coming with me and we both fit great. I wish the vestibules where just a bit bigger. Not able to get a full size pack in there without some of it hanging out. Great for shoes though, except when your camp floods and you find the shoes 15 feet from the tent. :)

For the price, this simply can’t be beat.

Great tent! Used it for the first time last week going on a snow camp @ 9100 ft with my sons Boy Scout troop! Very well built and designed well.
I highly recommend the footprint.
Morrison 2

The Morrison 2 is a great two person tent though I use it mostly for solo trips. I spent an all night storm in Dolly Sods and woke up comfortable and dry. One of my camping buddies bought a Morrison because he like mine so much. 'nuf said. Wouldn't trade it for any other tent.

In May 2015, I took this tent to the Buffalo River in the Ozarks Mountains, Arkansas, for an 85 miles trip.

The tent conveniently packs in a 16 inches of length, fitting on my back pack. I found this feature very convenient versus others that requires 20 to 24 inches in length space. The poles are of outstanding quality, but the floor is as light as the walls. I was expecting a thicker, more much durable floor, therefore I was forced to use a 6mm plastic sheet and 1/2 inch close cell foam to protect the underside. The product is self supporting and easy to assemble, but also has 8 anchoring points, plus 2 cords feature to affirm the tent in the event of strong winds. Since we did not have wind, but copious rain, I used the very minimum... Tied 2 heavy dry bags on the rain fly ends and staked 2 wood stakes on the vestibules. I cannot say that it did not had some water penetration but overall, it kept me dry. The rain fly cannot be set up without the tent, although it is not difficult to do the adaptation. One odd thing was that a cricket ate a quarter size hole in the mesh. I cannot determine of what material is the mesh. made.

Since most avid campers that had equivalent products than this tent, had paid at least twice as much, I could state that I am satisfied. I will be using it again.
