Tie between 1) watching my tent get blown off the north rim of Grand Canyon NP during a March blizzard and 2) backpacking with a just released ex-con from San Quentin who had a love affair with rattlesnakes and their innate ability to scare the collective wits off of his fellow hike mates.

Fun fact or unknown tidbit about Luke:
I am a staunch believer in drinking the camp dishwater while on backpacking trips; grosses everyone out, keeps me well hydrated, and I get the extra calories. Just no soap please.
