I got the medium, and the build quality is top-notch, but I have to agree with the other reviewer who said it's slightly smaller than the published dimensions, especially the height (mine measured just over 6 in, not 7 in. Also, the front zipper pocket would be perfect for a phone, but I have to angle my Pixel 9 to get it in SNUGLY. I put some first aid stuff in the waterproof interior zipper pocket, and it made the outer pocket almost unusably tight for a phone. Keys will NOT fit in the outer pocket unless you only have a few keys and no fob. Hopefully, the 2026 version will be slightly bigger.

Well made as usual but published measurements were off just enough that I can’t use it for what I needed it for. Good product, just too small. Will have to return it.

Exactly what I was looking for.
Picked this up today at Babbitt’s in Flagstaff, Az. Why did I buy it? Small but fits my phone, key and wallet. Water resistant or perhaps water tight inner compartment. MOLLE adaptable . Small and inconspicuous. Can be worn as lumbar, cross -body or hand held. I greatly dislike carrying a man-purse and this lets me carry my things is a small, masculine, low key way.

This is my favorite bag in the world. It matches everything. Its big enough. Its Black. I’ve been using it since it first came out. And I’ve been wearing Mountainsmith since 1994. Love it!

Sturdy, functional
I use it (mostly) as a cross-body sling. The size of the larger ("medium") model fits my life perfectly. It has enough organization, but not too much. Construction is bulletproof. This is the most useful Mountainsmith item I have ever bought.
