The Pinnacle is an excellent choice for when you need a little extra stability. Whether on the trail or around town this value driven pole is loaded with features like an adjustable soft-touch wrist strap, a molded TPR handle, and a spring-loaded anti-shock system to ease impact. We have equipped this pole with familiar details like a twist-lock double cam adjustment, a removable snow and hiking basket, a replaceable rubber boot tip, and a replaceable carbide tip for exceptional traction on trails, rock and scree. I cannot say enough on how much I love Mountainsmith products and their customer service. I purchased these poles a few years ago and as a Colorado hiker they have gotten so much use. I have not had a single issue with them until this year (a small piece internally broke) and I contacted their team. They were not only very responsive, but fixed my pole free of charge. You can tell they care about their products and want them to be used and loved for as long as possible. It was such a positive experience that I cannot wait to purchase future gear from them.
Outside of their customer service, they poles themselves are very durable. They are also perfect size to travel with and love that they can be shortened down to put into your packs. I could not recommend this company or this product more.

Affordable But Durable
Got these for my wife and myself at AAFES. These are very affordable and love how they are adjustable. I have used them for hiking and for a 6 mile ruck march. They seem to be very solid. Like the spring loaded feature.

Quality You Can Count On!
First off, let me say good things about Mountainsmith. These folks go the extra mile for their customers. Phone calls are answered, emails have quick responses, their website is easy to navigate, and purchases are simple. They bent over backwards to assist me!
Now the poles. I had a pair of the older Pinnacles and replaced them with the 2024 version. The new poles sport a more stylish topo-contour design printed on the upper shafts. The shafts adjust easily and lock up solid. Spring loading takes up shock in rocky areas. The carbide tips are a better design with better baskets that screw on firmly unlike the old design. The grips fit my hands well and are ventilated to let a bit of air under your hands. The grip straps are easy to adjust and stay in place when set.
Suffice it to say that I REALLY enjoy these new Pinnacles. I never used poles in the past and now I wonāt go hiking without them.
