Perfect light travel and daypack

I have both the Zerk 40 (updated) and 25. The 25 see's way more traffic for a simple reason, it has the brain section that offers a storage and accessibility option the 40 does not have. If the 40 was offered in a revised version with that brain layout I would get it in a heartbeat. Or maybe MS can offer a modular brain add-on. It would mean a very minimal addition of weight but I would happily pay that price for the versatility as a full blown travel pack..

Aside from that, both are great carries for me at realistic weights for their volume and structure. The 40 can handle up to 14kg comfortably for me and the 25 maxes out at 10 kg (8.5kg is ideal). My wife who is a very petite. 5ft 2' carries the loaded 25 with little issue.

Oh so close to perfect day pack

I also have the Gossamer Gear Loris 25. They are both nice packs and if I could only combine the features of the two I would have the perfect pack.

I like the removable pad, and the zippered pockets on the hip belt on the Loris. but I like the colors, the lid with storage, and the shoulder straps of the Zerk. What to do?
