My left shoulder cannot manage a shoulder pack.
I have issues with my left shoulder and a pack was not working well. I tried the lumbar pack first and realized the Strapette was needed.It worked really well. I'm very pleased. The 9 liter Lumbar pack is great for day hikes, but I'll probably get the 13 liter Lumbar pack for a bit of "light back packing" .

These straps are a huge improvement
These straps are a huge improvement. I have them on a Day pack and they help support the weight in the pack very well, they breath well to keep you a little cooler and the small pockets are great for small items you need quick access too.

If you're carrying any amount of load in your Day, this is a must have. I love the front pockets. they seem purpose built to hold a can of bear spray.
The yoke is much more comfortable than the original for the non-EVO packs and has been a real game changer.
I'd have given 5 stars but I'm still figuring out the sternum strap, I've had it pop off a couple times. The second that goes around the belly is taking a little getting used to, I don't use it too often,
