After 40+ years of continued dog pack innovation, the K9 Pack introduces the same trusted fit-designed with and approved by a local, Golden, CO veterinarian. The 4-point adjustable chest harness, independently adjustable back harness, non-slip buckle system, mesh panels, and perforated EVA foam offer a custom, comfortable fit and added breathability. Large: best for dogs over 80 pounds with large girth chests. Medium: best for dogs 40–90 pounds with medium girth chests. Small: best for dogs 20–50 pounds with small girth chests.

I was skeptical that the medium would be big enough for my long tallish mutt, but I followed the size chart. It fit him really well! I am so happy with all the adjustment points (far better than his last pack). He happily carried all his own food, treats, toys and even a blanket on our last trip! Now we both wear Mountainsmith packs!

I purchased this pack for my mountain dog three years ago. It was the only pack that my pup put on without acting dejected and irritated. She immediately acted like it was no big deal. She carries 2x .5L water bottles, 6x servings of food, treats with room to spare. Zero chafing or hot spots. My only suggestion is to offer this pack in an earth tone or multicam for the people out there that don't want to wear safety colours all the time. I dyed Lula's pack and then painted a flectarn pattern on the bags with fabric paint. Bye-Bye warranty but it looks great.

We love that this pack has no rub points, is highly adjustable, and has load bearing adjustment straps on the bags for ease of balancing the weight. It is well padded, well ventilated, and very durable. It has been used all over the country, from Appalachia to the Rockies. It has plenty of space for everything your pup needs.

We have hiked many miles in Northern Idaho with this pack over the years! I have a 30lb collie mutt dog with and the pack is adjusts to athletic build. We bought a Medium. No rubbing, great padding, and even better space. Stays balanced on her body and is durable, even with all her off trail adventures. Enough space to hold all her food, water, and other items (including a chuck it ball). I HIGHLY recommend this pack!!
