With dual zippered compartments and an internal sleeve divider, you’ve got just enough organization to keep chaos at bay without overcomplicating things. A backpanel stash sleeve is perfect for quick-draw items, while the hi-vis blaze orange interior makes sure nothing disappears into the abyss of your gear pile. And add The Roo for more expanded carrying capacity on the Drift EVO's modified PALS equipped waistbelt (see photos above).

Hydration? Handled. The side bottle pockets fit a full 1L and lock ‘em down with an over-the-top bungee so they don’t bail mid-run. Bottom compression straps snug things up even more, while forward-pull waistbelt webbing gets your fit dialed in fast, even when you're on the move.

Drift Evo plus Roo Pouch? A dog walker's second best companion.

My Border Collie lives to fetch ChuckIt balls. Yet my 7L Tour and 1L alternative packs weren't fit for the purpose of carrying extra balls / valuables efficiently. Problem solved.

Perfect fit

This is exactly what I was after, a small yet capable pack for K9 adventures. Room for human and canine med kits, some snacks and water for both of us as well. I can strap on a rain jacket and slip in a collapsible bowl. The lumbar pack eliminates a sweaty back and its easily accessible when you spin it around. Highly recommended!

Drift Evo to the Rescue

I have been looking for a smaller capacity lumbar pack, one that would help me economize on the things I pack for short hikes. My other Mountainsmith lumber packs are capacious, and I tend to pack them with all kinds of items, even for short kikes. The Drift Evo is the cure. It's well constructed and just the ticket for short hikes.

Don’t pay over $200 for something similar

When I couldn’t bring myself to pay well over $200 for a similar size lumbar pack setup from “urafiK” named after a famous podcaster I ran across Mountainsmith’s Drift EVO Lumbar Pack. Bingo! So far its been worth every penny, and is fullfilling every “mission” or need I am using it for. Top notch craftsmanship, well thought out details, bombproof materials. You can’t go wrong.

Great little bag

Great little bag. Perfect for day trips and carries all the essentials without bouncing around or giving you a sweaty back. I've logged almost 80 miles in the first month carrying two water bottles, a sandwich, wallet, phone, keys, a multi-tool, a rosary, reading glasses, a bandana, toilet paper and a note pad with pen. And it still has room for more.
