Been using Cubes 1.0 for a decade plus. The clear view top was a neat idea, but its where they all rip. Which is why I'm sure they got rid of it in totes 2.0. I also have the boot cube for my ski stuff and its been amazing. I just ordered 4 more cubes to supplement the 4 we have. 26l is JUST enough for local trips for soft goods. It prevents us from overpacking and makes it easy to figure out who's bag is who's (color coating). As a bonus, the tote for the cubes (we have the 4 cube size) is a fantastic wood hauler and misc open top carry. use it ALL THE TIME. On solo trips I take 2 or 3 cubes to divide my gear. Clean/Dirty/Warm. Super handy.

I wanted a simple lumbar pack for my wife and I that could hold two Nalgene bottles when doing short day hikes with out kids. This is the ONLY lumbar pack that fit the bill perfectly. So far I love all the EVO packs and highly recommend them.

I've been carrying an ancient Tour with Strapette forever and this is quite the upgrade. It's full of features I keep finding and taking advantage of. Paired with the new strapette, it's the perfect size day pack for me. I've only got about 25 miles on it so far, but I'm very satisfied.

Great for traveling instead of luggage
I have been using a Mountainsmith lumbar pack since the early 90’s. Hiking, hunting, fishing, traveling. I have added a new model tour, or day, as the features have evolved over the years. But the product has remained the same durable, well thought out bag that I know I can count on over the years. Built to last.

Great bag, love the features, fit, and construction of this bag. Perfect for an all day wander-about in the mountains of Montana. Looking forward to using it during hunting season this year.

We love that this pack has no rub points, is highly adjustable, and has load bearing adjustment straps on the bags for ease of balancing the weight. It is well padded, well ventilated, and very durable. It has been used all over the country, from Appalachia to the Rockies. It has plenty of space for everything your pup needs.

Perfect fit for the touring waist pack I bought 20 years ago! Wish the pack had come with the strap. The pack is still going strong and remains my favorite personal travel bag!
The price and delivery of this replacement strap was perfect

This replacement strap fits perfect on our bag!

We had significant issues with the hiking baskets that came with the pre-2024 7075 poles. The polyurethane baskets were breaking after just one season of summer use. I noticed the material difference between the hiking baskets and the snow baskets and decided to give the snow baskets a try. These are much more durable and have lasted for multiple seasons of heavy use. I cut off the outer segments with diagonal cutters because the baskets were interfering with pole tip traction on steeper slopes, leaving just the inner ring. These have seen significant abuse and are still going strong. Polyethylene is just way more durable and doesn't seem to suffer from the fatigue failure seen with the polyurethane baskets.

Bought these to use with the EVO Tour. Amazing upgrade! Turns the pack into the best day hike/ fishing pack I have ever used.

These are great!

I bought this in 2019 after the Department of Veteran Affairs issued me a worthless piece of junk cane designed for a nursing home (and undoubtedly charged the American Taxpayer far more than I ponied up for the Globetrotter).
I found mine at the Lake Superior Trading Post in Grand Marais and it helped me get back to hiking again.
It took me awhile to get the hang of assembly and disassembly before air travel, but since then it’s been my constant and most reliable travel companion to Venice, London, Canada, a Transatlantic sea voyage, sailing to Catalina and even a few red carpets. It fits perfectly in a carry on which comes in handy when you get abandoned in the airport wheelchair at JFK. 😉✈️😂
My only wish is that they’d come out with a more durable boot cover in an eco friendly material to protect marble, wood and historic floors. I’ve probably powered thru 10 of the boot covers in the last 6 years, but it’s nice they are replaceable.
This is hands down the, sleekest, most versatile, lightest and hardiest cane design I’ve ever found. I love the natural cork handle too. After decades of loving Mountainsmith Gear this has been my best purchase yet.

We’ve used these in our Scout troop since 2019. They have held up well, including 50 mph winds (properly guyed) that destroyed other tents. They are roomy and vented enough for summer camp and have been used for January snow camping. Using just the fly & footprint is a great lightweight option for backpacking.
