The two side pockets hold water bottles securely, the exterior pouch makes stashing collapsible trekkingpoles or a light rain shell a breeze, and the waist belt pockets keeps small items easily accessible.

I love my new Epic lumbar pack! I’ve been looking for something just like it. Epic!

Haven't had a bad experience yet

I have several lumbar packs in different colors and sizes and all have held up very well. I expect no different from the Epic pack.

Well balanced with great cushion

Well balanced with great cushion. I carried this full up and down the gran canyon for six hours and never felt weighed down. In fact I felt like it acted like lumbar support! Would buy again, 100%.

Almost Perfect

I recently purchased this pack for hikes with my dog that are less than 2 hours. For half to full day hikes I go to my Tour pack. This Epic is a game changer for short walks/hikes. Carries all the essentials while being 1/2 the weight of my, “Mountainsmith Tour” pack.

However, this pack needs 1 upgrade to be perfecto. A carry handle on top of the pack. It’s annoying to carry this pack with no handle. Especially when it’s packed with 2 water bottles.

Great lumbar pack for hiking with my dog

I needed a smaller lumbar pack for hiking with my dog and this one is perfect. I am 5’5” and 140lbs and this pack fits my waist. I definitely think it was designed for a slightly bigger body frame but it actually fits very comfortably. The water bottle pockets work very well and I don’t notice my arms hitting them while walking. The body of the bag has two pockets that fit quite a few items. And the stuff pocket on the outside was an unexpected perk. Overall, love the pack. Would definitely buy again.
